The oldest parts of parts of this church are from a 12th century Benedictine Priory, but the later additions from the 13th and particularly the 16th century. The painted plaster ceiling above the chancel is an outstanding work of art. Painted by Thomas Francis in 1672, the work covers a large section of the ceiling and features many angels and the sign of the Trinity.There is a small north aisle attached to the nave. Many of the plaques and monuments are marble, lending a wealthy air of decadence to the church. The pews and octagonal pulpit are ornately carved.Not wheelchair accessible, thanks to three steps down behind the main door. There is a small amount of parking just off the road near the lych gate.
